The main points are: - in common with major markets worldwide, a drop in cinema attendance in the European Union, with 892 million cinema tickets sold in 2005, compared with 1,007 million in 2004; - market shares for European films in the EU remained stable at 25%; - an increase in the volume of production of European Union feature films.
