Brussels, 05/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - In Vienna on Monday 8 May, EU-Africa dialogue will continue with a Foreign Minister level meeting of the European troika and Africa. On the agenda are the implementation of a strategy for Africa, the preparation of an EU-Africa conference on immigration and current political issues - especially the situation in Darfur in Sudan, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in Chad and in Uganda. Taking part in the meeting will be Ursula Plassnik, Austrian Foreign Minister and President of the EU Council, her Congolese counterpart Rodolphe Adala, representing the African Union, Nigerian Minister Oluyemi Adeniji and his Sudanese counterpart Lam Akol, African Union Commissioners Maxwell Mkwezalamba (Economic Affaires) and Said Djinnit (Peace and Security), European Development and Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Louis Michel, Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja and the Director of “Task Force Africa” from the Secretariat of the EU Council.
