Further €2 million for victims of Hurricane Stan in El Salvador

Brussels, 28/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has increased its humanitarian aid to help the victims of Hurricane Stan in El Salvador by €2 million. €5.7 million has already been allocated to El Salvador and Guatemala after they were hit by the disaster in October 2005 but the situation in El Salvador is still precarious and has been worsened by the eruption of the Ilamatepec volcano.
