EUR 30 million for 'good governance' - Benita Ferrero-Waldner backs Morocco's aim to get 'advanced status' in relations with EU

Rabat, 27/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner visited Morocco on 23 March, where she confirmed the European Commission's desire to help Morocco get 'advanced status' in partnership with the EU. Moroccan newspapers quote the Commissioner saying that the EU will examine Morocco's request for 'advanced status' under the EU's Neighbourhood Policy, which should extend the common political agenda so Morocco can participate in EU programmes....
