27/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson started a six day tour of Latin America on Monday, starting in Chile before going to Argentina and Brazil. On Tuesday, he will meet Chile's new President, Michelle Bachelot. In Argentina, he will meet with business leaders to discuss the EU-Mercosur free trade talks re-launched on 5 September last year (see Europe 9020).
