27/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has given its clearance for the proposed acquisition by the Portuguese companies ENI Portugal Investment, Amorim Energia BV and Caixa Geral de Depositos Group of joint control of Galp Energia SGPS. Galp Energia is mainly active in the field of exploration, production and refining of petroleum and petrochemical products, as well as at every level of the gas distribution chain in Portugal. The operation was examined according to simplified procedure.
