In their message to Spring Summit, Anne-Marie Sigmund and Sandor Demjan say Lisbon Strategy must be “vision for Europe, a complex social modernisation project”, remain “global, forward-looking and ambitious” and be “useful to all citizens”

Brussels, 09/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - On the occasion of the conference scheduled for 9 and 10 March in Budapest on taking the Lisbon Strategy on board at national level, the presidents of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and of the Hungarian Economic and Social Committee, Anne-Marie Sigmund and Sandor Demjan respectively, are to present a joint communication which, after adoption by the two committees, will be forwarded to the Spring European Summit 2006.
