During its EU Presidency, Finland will seek to improve goods transport strategy - Another priority: short sea shipping

Bregenz, 03/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - Improving logistics in the European Union transport field will be the top priority of the Finnish European Union Council presidency which is to begin on 1 July 2006. In an interview granted to EUROPE on the sidelines of the informal EU ministerial meeting in Bregenz on 2 and 3 March, Finnish Transport Minister Susanna Huovinen explained the stakes involved for Finland and also for the European Union as a whole.
