07/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's 2006 Prize for Equality will be awarded on 8 March, International Women's day. MEPs Sylvia-Yvonne Kaufmann (GUE/NGL, Germany) Anna Zaborska (EPP-ED, Slovakia), president of the women's rights committee, will award the prize for “Best Practices” and the Secretary General of the EP Julian Priestley will award the prize for best “Role Model”.
