PES petition calls on European Commission to take action against trafficking during football world cup

Brussels, 07/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - Lissy Gröner MEP (German Social Democrat) will urge (on 8 March during International Women's day, in view of the forthcoming football World Cup in Germany) fans to give the “Red Card to forced prostitution” campaign their support. The campaign will be launched on this occasion (EUROPE 9141 on the subject of the Swedish initiative on prostitution at international sporting events). “Organised criminals are now preparing to exploit the World Cup....
