Luxembourg, 02/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) is granting a loan of £61 million for the upgrading of several segments of the M1 and M2 motorways from Belfast (Northern Ireland). The Westlink, the trans-European road corridor linking the port of Larne (Northern Ireland) to Dublin (Eire), is part of a priority project under European transport policy. The project will be carried out in the form of a public-private partnership (PPP).
