Austrian Presidency hopes agreement will emerge on single European driving licence by June

Bregenz, 02/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Austrian Presidency feels it will be possible to reach agreement by June this year on the draft directive to introduce a single European driving licence for the whole of the EU. Austrian transport minister Hubert Gorbach said at a press release on Thursday ahead of the 2 and 3 March Transport Council in Bregenz that he was confident agreement could be reached during the Austrian Presidency.
