Brussels, 27/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - The merger announced by French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin on 25 February, between the public company Gaz de France (GDF) and the company Suez, has dealt a severe blow to the ambitions of the Italian group Enel, which had hoped to take over the French private group.
