Mrs de Palacio worried by lack of Community funding available for trans-European networks

Brussels, 23/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - Loyola de Palacio, former EU Transport Commissioner, is worried by December 2005 European Council budget cuts to trans-European Transport networks (TEN-T) in the 2007-2013 financial perspectives. During an exchange of views with the European Parliament's Transport Committee, Mrs de Palacio, who is the coordinator for the Lyon-Budapest rail link (TEN-T project 6) gave an update on the difficulties encountered in this project.
