23/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 9 March, IFRI will hold a seminar at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) on the theme The European social model: future directions and responsibilities for the EU. Among the participants will be: Henri Malosse, President of the Committee's social affairs, employment and citizenship section, Thierry de Montbrial, Director General of IFRI and Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa, President of Notre Europe. In notable contributions, Jean Peyrelevade, former President of Crédit Lyonnais, will talk about inequality of income, Professor François Martou from the Université catholique de Louvain will talk about inequality of education and Daniel Vaughan-Whitehead from the International Labour Organisation will talk about inequality of employment.
