Brussels, 23/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - Italian authorities responded to the European Commission at the start of the week as part of the infringement procedure against them on consolidation between Italian and European banks. This scandal rocked the country and led to the resignation of Antonio Fazio, former Governor of the Italian Central Bank.
