Can the EU, a civil power, construct a strategic relationship with China, a global power?”. “Building a Europe of excellence: turning knowledge into growth”. 4th European Business Summit. Brussels, 16-17 March. To be held by the Belgian Enterprise Federation (FEB), in cooperation with Unice and with the support of the European Commission. Some 1000 participants are expected for this event which is being held ahead of the European Spring Council, and which will welcome several important figures from the business world, and also from European politics (Günter Verheugen, European Commissioner for Industry, Romano Prodi, former President of the European Commission, Guy Verhofstadt, the Belgian Prime Minister, Adrian Nastase, the Romanian Prime Minister). Conference to be held by the EIM (European Rail Infrastructure Managers), ERFA (European Rail Freight Association), ERFCP (European Rail Freight Customers Platform) and UIRR (International Union of combined Road-Rail transport companies), with the support of the European Commission. Brussels, 29 March. This conference aims to identify best practices to encourage competition in the railway sector and remove persisting barriers to rail liberalisation.
