Brussels, 23/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - At the end of the first phase of the anti-dumping investigation launched last July following the lodging of a complaint by European leather businesses, the Commissioner for Trade, Peter Mandelson, recommended on Thursday that Union Member States imposed temporary compensatory duties on Chinese and Vietnamese leather shoe imports as from 7 April. Anti-dumping measures against safety shoes from India were not recommended.
