Luxemburg, 15/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Land Oberösterreich and Austria are challenging the ruling of the EU Court of First Instance in favour of the use of GMOs in Upper Austria. They are bringing an appeal against the ruling in which the Court upheld the European Commission's refusal to allow the Land Oberöstrreich to ban GMOs in its area (see EUROPE 9043).
The Austrians maintain that the Court judgment was not well founded. They claim it did not take account of the data and figures...
