15/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the European Parliament adopted the own-initiative report by German Social Democrat Mechtild Rothe, recommending the use of renewable energy sources for heating and refrigeration. The EP above all calls on the Commission to present by 31 July a legislative proposal on increasing the share of renewable energy in these two areas. EUROPE will come back to this.
