10/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - As expected the conference of leaders of the political groups in the European Parliament has added to the EP's agenda for Wednesday in Strasbourg the statements by the European Commission and the Council on the “right to freedom of expression and respect for religious faith” (following the publication of caricatures of the prophet Muhammed in Denmark: see related article) and the situation in Belarus ahead of the Presidential elections on 19 March (see EUROPE 9125 and others). Thursday afternoon's emergency debates will be on the American prison at Guantanamo and the situations in Azerbaijan and Sri Lanka (for full agenda, see EUROPE 9125).
