European Women's Lobby calls for European legislation to combat violence against women - Council of Europe launches campaign 2006-2007

Brussels, 29/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 25 November, on the International Day on Violence Against Women, the European Women's Lobby (EWL) regretted that, despite complaints filed by victims and repeated warnings from women's associations and MEPs, there is still no European legislation for combating violence against women.
