Agreement on budget 2006 to be concluded on Wednesday

Brussels, 29/11/2005 (Agence Europe) -Council and Parliament are to meet this Wednesday in a Trialogue to conclude an agreement on the draft budget 2006, after the breakdown of the concertation of 25 November, which was attended by Budget Commissioner Dalia Grybauskaite (EUROPE 9076). A compromise seems to be within reach on the three subjects of contention between the Council and the delegation of the EP, which is led by Janusz Lewandowski, president of the committee on budgets.
