EU wants free media and NGO access to World Summit on Information Society in Tunisia

Brussels, 15/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has expressed great concern at the incidents before the opening on 16 November of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, where foreign journalists were intimidated and attacked and various NGOs were refused access, said a spokesperson for Commissioner Viviane Reding on Tuesday (see Europe 9067).
