Brussels, 08/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - Industrial producer prices up by 0.5% in both euro-zone and EU25 in September compared with August 2005. In September 2005, EU25 prices also increased by 0.5%. In August, prices rose 0.4% in the euro-zone and 0.5% in the EU25. Prices in energy rose by 1.7% in both zones. In September 2005, compared to September 2004, prices in the energy sector rose by 16.4% and 19.3% respectively. Intermediate goods gained 0.2% in the euro-zone and 0.3% in the EU25. In both zones, non-durable consumer goods rose by 0.2% and capital goods by 0.1%, while durable consumer goods remained stable. The highest increases were registered in Denmark and Greece (both +1.5%), and the only decrease was recorded in Luxembourg (-1.2%), while prices in Belgium remained stable.
