08/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 7 November, the Council of the EU gave its blessing to the EU's strategy to fight the illegal accumulation of and trafficking in light weaponry. The strategy is to be adopted by the European Council of 15 and 16 December. The Council also adopted a decision extending decision 1997/730/CFSP, on the fight against light weaponry in Cambodia, for one year (up to 15 November 2006).
