Mexico's CEMEX and France's LAFARGE, two of the world's top three cement companies, have agreed to end their joint-ventures in Spain and Portugal (RMA - READYMIX ASLAND in Spain and BETECNA BETAO PRONTO in Portugal), of which they both held 50%. After the deal, LAFARGE ASLAND will hold 100% of RMA and BETECNA. CEMEX, on the other hand, will receive EUR 50 million and will keep 28 concrete plants and four aggregates quarries in Spain.
