THE DAY IN POLITICS / (eu) eu/iran/nuclear

03/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has decided to carry out a major reshuffling of Iran's diplomatic delegations in a number of countries, and especially in France and the United Kingdom (which have been negotiating with Germany for two years now within the EU-3 seeking to convince Teheran to give up its uranium enrichment programme). In total, out of the 113 Iranian diplomatic missions throughout the world, around forty ambassadors and consuls will be recalled to Teheran by 2006, some of whom are the preferred interlocutors of the EU-3 and of the international community on the nuclear issue.
