Brussels, 03/11/2005 (Agence Europe) -French Socialist Martine Roure and German Social Democrat Lissy Gröner are to open a two-day seminar of the Socialist group of the European Parliament in Brussels on 7 November on a trafficking in human beings. The Austrian Social Democrat Christa Prets, who is the Parliament's rapporteur on strategies to prevent the trafficking in women and children for the purposes of sexual exploitation, will lead the conclusions of the work. Among those taking part will be Portuguese interior Minister Antonio Costa and the Swedish Minister for integration and gender equality, Jens Orback, and, representing European Commission, Jürgen Merz (fight against organised crime) and Bärbel Uhl (expert group on the trafficking in human beings) and, on behalf of the International Organisation for Migration, its director Peter von Bethlenfalvy.
