Brussels, 18/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Council of Europe has launched the world's first multilingual thesaurus to help experts in cultural heritage to find the right terms and concepts in different languages and retrieve relevant information in the European Heritage policy database. The new software has been compiled by the European Heritage Network (HEREIN) and provides access to the different legislative and administrative concepts, experiences and policies. Over 500 terms are available in seven languages for now (English, French, German, Spanish, Bulgarian, Polish and Slovenian). Eleven more languages will be added to the thesaurus at a later date. The thesaurus is available on: http: //http://www.european-heritage.net/sdx/herein/thesaurus/introduction.xsp .
