11/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 18 October, the ICFTU (International Confederation of Free Trade Unions) is to present its annual report on violations of trade union rights in the world, a press release announced. The release specifies that the report covers the situation in 136 countries of five continents for the period 1 January to 31 December 2004, and that it denounces the assassination of 145 trade unions in particular. Also, the report notes the 500 death threats received by trade unionists and 700 cases of aggression.
