10/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - On the occasion of the World Day against the Death Penalty on 10 October, the secretary general of the Council of Europe, Terry Davis, appealed for capital punishment to be abolished. “Killing is an act to be condemned”, he said, adding “the death penalty is therefore also to be condemned”.
