03/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - In a press release, leading Italian fisheries organisations (AGCI Pesca, Federcoopesca and Legapesca) welcomed the legislative package unveiled by European Fisheries Commissioner Joe Borg to deal with the problems faced by the fishing industry due to the hike in oil prices. The organisations are disappointed that the measures will take a year to be introduced given the current 'diesel crisis' (see Europe 9031 on the recent EU Fisheries Council). The organisations...
