Parliament calls for international contact group to be created to help re-establish democracy

Strasbourg, 03/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - Ahead of the visit by the EU Troika to Nepal, from 4 to 6 October, the European Parliament last Thursday adopted a resolution calling both for the Maoist rebels to continue the ceasefire they have proclaimed indefinitely and for King Gyanendra to continue constructive talks with all the political groups, including the Maoists.
