Brussels, 03/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - In Barcelona on 26 and 27 September, high-ranking civil servants of the countries of the Euromed process with responsibility for political dialogue and security, continued their discussions on the declaration to be submitted to the Euro-Mediterranean Summit to be held in the Catalan capital at the end of December. At this meeting, they also discussed a draft code of conduct on the fight against terrorism. The UK Presidency also announced that a seminar on racism and xenophobia in the media would be held in London on 10 December, and proposed an ad hoc meeting on disarmament and the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction in the Mediterranean region, to be held in Brussels on 9 November. Consultations continue on a seminar on mine clearance, and the question of relaunching the Euronews in Arabic was also raised, but the financial aspects have yet to be clarified.
