03/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Lord Advocate for Scotland, Colin Boyd QC, signed a formal accession document on 29 September entering Scotland into the Academy of European Law (ERA), based in Trier (Germany). In a press release, Boyd says the move 'recognises Scotland as a unique and distinctive jurisdiction in Europe'. Wolfgang Heusel, the Director of ERA, said: 'I am very pleased to welcome Scotland…it is essential that we reflect the full diversity of Europe's legal traditions.'...
