04/08/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a loan worth EUR 165 million for the construction and equipment of the Central University Hospital of Asturias. The project will allow the town of Oviedo to have a modern building in which to host the new hospital, which will provide a new kind of service geared to ambulatory care and the elimination of duplication when it comes to services and equipment. The EIB loan, which amounts to 50% of the total investment cost, will run over 28 years. The Principality of Asturias, which is promoting the project, has entrusted the implementation and management to GISPASA, a special purpose vehicle (SPV), of which it holds one hundred percent.
