Brussels, 19/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 14 July, the European Parliament's Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality adopted, by 21 votes to 2 and 5 abstentions, the own-initiative report by Eva-Britt Svensson (GUE/NGL, Sweden) on discrimination against women in medical and health services. The report highlights the fact that the gender factor is just as important as economic, social and ethnic data, and that its consequences on health may be considerable.
