Brussels, 19/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 15 July, the European Commission decided to call upon 13 Member States (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal and United Kingdom) to repay a total of 244.4 million EUR corresponding to sums irregularly spent by these countries under the common agricultural policy (insufficient checks, non-respect of Community rules).
