06/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - As part of the start of its campaign against violence against children which is the main priority of its Deputy Secretary General Maud de Boer-Buquicchio, the Council of Europe is holding a conference on violence against children and sexual exploitation of children on 8 and 9 July in Ljubljana. The new challenges in 2005, coordination of action plans at national and international level and European responses in the fight against the traffic of human-beings are all on the agenda for the two days. Also in Ljublijana, the Council of Europe is holding a regional consultation on violence against children in Europe and Central Asia with Unicef, the WHO, the office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and NGOs.
