Brussels, 04/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 1 July, the Political and Security Committee (COPS) approved the appointment of the Slovakian Jan Kubis to the post of EU special Representative for Central Asia. The Council has still formally to adopt the joint action to appoint Mr Kubis, who is the outgoing Secretary General of the OSCE, to this post.
