Brussels, 04/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - Once again concerns for maintaining EU competitiveness are perturbing the Commission programme regarding the environment. Two proposals for thematic strategies in the sixth environment action programme, and whose adoption were expected to be imminent, will have to wait until the autumn to be submitted for European Commission approval, after the Commission holds a general orientation debate on environment policy on 20 July.
