04/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 27 June the Council adopted a decision on concluding an agreement with Russia on the trade in certain steel products and a regulation on the management of this agreement (8038/05 and 8736/05). This new agreement replaces the one concluded for 2002-04 and sets out quantitative limits on imports of certain steel products in the EU and applies up to 31 December 2006 or when Russia joins the WTO if this is decided before this date.
