Solana welcomes border agreement

Brussels, 18/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - Javier Solana welcomed, on Wednesday, the signing of an agreement on the borders between Russia and Estonia, a long-pending issue that is a top priority for the EU, Cristina Gallach, Mr Solana's spokesperson, said. Javier Solana trusts that the agreement will be ratified in the near future and that a similar agreement will soon be signed between Russia and Latvia (see EUROPE 8944).
