Joint statement by leaders of four main political groups at EP opposing motion of censure

Brussels, 13/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - Following the lodging of a motion of censure at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Thursday against the Commission, wanting the Commission President, Jose Manuel Barroso, to attend a hearing of MEPs to explain his links with Greek industrialist Spiro Latsis (see yesterday's Europe, p.7), the leaders of the four main political groups at the EP immediately clarified the matter, saying they would not be supporting the initiative by British UKIP MEP...
