Commission welcomes Pascal Lamy's appointment as next Director General of WTO

Brussels, 13/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, the Commission welcomed the decision of the WTO selection committee to recommend the European candidate, the former Commissioner Pascal Lamy as the successor to Supachai Panitchpakdi at the post of Director General of the organisation, as of 1 September 2005.
