Commission to adopt communication next week on boosting partnership with Washington

Brussels, 13/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission will adopt a communication next week, based on proposals by the European Commissioners Benita Ferrero-Waldner (External Relations) and Peter Mandelson (Trade), which will take stock of transatlantic relations and put forward new ideas for revitalising links with Washington, ahead of the forthcoming biannual EU/United States Summit, to be held in Washington in June.
