25/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission announced on Monday that the German company Sasol Wax International AG, specialist in petrol-chemical waxes and Total S.A (of France) have withdrawn their project to set up a joint venture. The Commission opened an in-depth investigation around ten days ago because the Commission had serious concerns that the transaction could significantly impede effective competition in the common market.
