Detection method for Bt10 is valid

Brussels, 25/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - EU Member States now have a method for detecting genetically modified Bt10 Syngenta, which is not authorised in the EU but which can be contained in US maize gluten cargoes and in brewing dregs and could be confused with bt11 (EUROPE 8929). The Common Research Centre of the EU has just validated the scientific detection method provided by the Syngenta reference laboratory, as the request of the Commission.
