Support for immediate emergency aid for Sahouri refugees

Strasbourg, 19/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - Last Thursday the EP adopted a resolution in which it takes note of the appeal made to donor countries through the Word Food Programme concerning the situation of Sahouri refugees in Algeria. According to this appeal on 26 February, “from May 2005 the WFP will no longer be able to ensure a complete ration of 2100 kcal to 158,000 Sahouri refugees”.
